Although most of my work background has been in the world of jazz, from time to time, I will get a call or an opportunity to photograph Rock, R&B, or Blues concerts and performances. I must say that I find these breaks in my routine to be refreshing, enjoyable and keeps my perspective from narrowing. Below are some selections ranging from one, to several images from each of these encounters, which includes a benefit concert at the Canyon Club in LA for legendary Rock DJ, Paraquat Kelley, featuring Slash and George Thorogood, followed by Johnny Rivers and his Band at the Saban Theater, featuring Jimmy Webb, Florence LaRue and The 5th Dimension, Danny Seraphine and his CTA Band (California Transit Authority), with guests Bill Champlin and Keith Emerson, and performances and recording sessions photographed in Los Angeles and Kansas City MO. of Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., Thelma Houston, Melissa Manchester, Melba Moore, Johnny Mathis, Barbara Morrison, Ledisi, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Ernie Andrews, Maysa, Kenny Loggins, Linda Hopkins, Lalah Hathaway, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Ernestine Anderson, Phil Upchurch, Judith Hill, Sugarfoot, Angie Stone, and Denise "China Eyes" Cook.
